The Henley Regatta is a true spectacle and a wonderful event to go along and watch. Spectators can watch the races from the Regatta Enclosure where there is unreserved seating in a grandstand or they can choose to watch from chairs that are laid out along the the banks of the river. There is no dress code for the
Regatta Enclosure and there is a bar and restaurant offering refreshments throughout the days.
At one end of the course you will find Remenham Farm which is a real hive of activity and provides a range of attractions from picnic lunches, afternoon teas, car parking and a Trade Stand Village. At the Barn Bar you can be entertained by live bands which play throughout the 5 days. On Regatta Saturday one of the places to be is the "bring-your-own" Courtyard Enclosure which usually provides a real party atmosphere.
The date of the Henley Regatta is set to take place to ensure that the Final Sunday is staged on the 27th Sunday of the year.

Henley Royal Regatta takes place along the famous Thames River in the scenic market town of Henley-on-Thames. The Regatta takes place over a 5 day period every July and is a focus for followers of rowing throughout the World. The Regatta Course is 2,112 metres long (1 mile and 550 yards) and takes place along the length of straight water from Temple Point to just opposite the Phyllis Court Club. The Henley Regatta races comprises a series of heats lasting approximately 7 minutes. At any one time this usually allows for two races to be taking place on the course at the same time. Two boats take part in each race resulting in up to 100 races taking place on some days.
