County Tyrone
County Tyrone
County Tyrone is the largest of the counties in Northern Ireland and has something to offer everyone. You will find sparse highlands, lush river valleys, the beautiful Sperrin Mountains which stretch for nearly 65 kilometres; forest parks, fascinating prehistoric and Celtic sites and many standing stones.
The County is a great place for walkers, cyclists, anglers, gliders and even attracts gold prospectors panning around Sawel.
The Ulster American Folk Park is a must as it’s one of the country's best museums and tells the story of Northern Ireland’s unique contribution to the 'New World'.
The largest town is Omagh which makes a great base for exploring the surrounding areas.
