Dumfries and Galloway is very easy to get to and is only three hours travel from Manchester and less than two hours from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle.

Dumfries and Galloway is a great place to visit for an activity based holiday and has a fabulous range of activities which include go-karting, horse riding, quad biking, 4x4’s, mountain biking, water sports, and fishing.

There are many rivers, lochs and reservoirs and of course a huge coastline. There are five major game fishing rivers and have long been famed for their runs of sea trout and greyback Solway salmon. Other species include carp, perch, pike, rudd or tench.

There are also over 30 golf courses in Dumfries and Galloway.

There are also two ports and these can be found in the town of Stranraer and the village Cairnryan.
