Clyde Valley

The Clyde Valley is rich is history with many castles, museums and historical landmarks and is also home to the city of Glasgow.  You will find some of the best scenery surrounding Glasgow with rolling hills and beautiful walking routes.

There are many lovely little towns and villages in the area such as Paisley, Hamilton, Biggar, Greenock and Gourock.

There are great day excursions from Glasgow which can be enjoyed by the whole family.

Glasgow is a shoppers’ paradise and also has many bars, restaurants and has a vibrant nightlife. The art scene in Glasgow is world class and has over 200 art organisations and regularly produces cutting-edge productions.  The city was crowned as a European City of Culture in 1990 and was also the UK’s City of Architecture and Design in 1999.

The medieval town of Biggar is rich in history and has won many awards, including Best Tourist Town in Scotland. Biggar is a great base to explore Southern and Central Scotland.

The Clyde Valley has many attractions which include forests, gardens, many galleries, castles, an Abbey and historic houses. For activities, there is horse riding, golf, an air school, fishing, climbing, cycling, and walking.

Ayrshire and Arran

Ayrshire and Arran is situated on the beautiful Clyde Coast. You will find beautiful scenery, outdoor activities, some of the finest golf courses in the world, and a fascinating history. There are also ancient castles, bustling market towns and great country parks.

The Isle of Arran has a beautiful coastline with pretty villages and has green rolling hills and woodland in the south and a rugged interior in the north.

Not to miss is the Culzean Castle and Country Park which was designed in 1777 or playing at one of the prestigious golf courses such as Turnberry, Royal Troon and Prestwick.
