Perthshire

Perthshire is a region which has it all.  From a great range of outdoor activities to breath-taking scenery, fantastic landscapes, mountains, farmlands and forests. You will find some of the most remarkable woodlands and forests in Perthshire.

Perthshire is known as the adventure capital of Scotland. You will find world class fishing, a great range of golf courses, fantastic cycling routes, walking routes, forest trails, skiing and snowboarding and for the truly adventurous out there – cliff jumping and canyoning.

The area has castles, a historical house, Loch’s, Nature Reserves, Waterfalls, Wildlife Parks, Glens and even a palace.

Perthshire is only an hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow and easily reached by all modes of transport.

Angus and Dundee

Angus offers everything from breath-taking, un-spoilt scenery, great hill walking, rugged coastlines and miles of sandy beach. There are nature reserves and a wildlife park.

For sporting and recreational activities, the area offers championship golf at Carnoustie along with many other golf courses. Horse riding, water sports, fishing, quad biking, and walking are also popular.

For nature lovers, The Angus Glens should not be missed as they include ten 'Munros' (mountains of over 3 000 ft) and includes miles of narrow and bendy roads. 

The area is rich is history and tradition and has many attractions of both historical and a cultural nature – not to miss is the ancestral home of the late Queen Mother at Glamis Castle. There are also many other castles, historical homes, an abbey, many museums, and a country estate.

Dundee is a great base for exploring the region.  The city has a big arts and culture scene.  The main city centre is focused on City Square - set in front of the city's imposing Caird Hall. The city is promises a great day out with much to offer from great shopping, cinema or theatre, lively restaurants and much more.
